DODOMA, September 10, 2026 (WAFA) — President Mahmoud Abbas offered his condolences to Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan following the death of her husband, Hafidh Ameir Hassan.

In a message delivered to the Tanzanian president by Palestine’s Ambassador to Tanzania, Salam Abu Sharar, President Abbas expressed the sincere condolences and sympathy of the State of Palestine, its leadership and people over the loss.

Abu Sharar also attended a condolence ceremony in Zanzibar alongside a number of ambassadors accredited to Tanzania, underscoring the solidarity and fraternal ties between the Palestinian and Tanzanian peoples.
