488 Palestinian families affected by the ongoing Israeli aggression in Hebron, says municipality

HEBRON, October 26, 2026 (WAFA) – The number of families affected by the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression in various areas of Hebron city—which began last Friday—has risen to 488. Meanwhile, the Follow-up, Support, and Relief Committee has begun distributing the first round of aid and essential supplies to families forced by the occupation to flee their homes.

The Hebron Municipality, in daily updated reports, stated that the number of affected families and individuals forcibly displaced has tripled since the first day of the aggression.

It further noted that occupation forces have compelled approximately 3,171 residents to leave their homes—particularly in the Deir Bahha and Al-Jalda areas—while also trapping hundreds of others inside their homes in nearby neighborhoods, preventing them from leaving.

In a related development, the Follow-up, Support, and Relief Committee, established under the Hebron Governorate, has commenced the distribution of the first batch of aid and basic necessities to families affected or displaced by the ongoing military operation in the city.

The Committee emphasized that this aid constitutes the initial phase of relief and support efforts. It noted that work is continuing around the clock, in coordination with relevant institutions, to ensure that aid reaches those who need it most and to sustain support for the affected families until the events and the military operation in the governorate come to an end.

It comprises government and non-governmental institutions, as well as representatives from the private sector, the local community, and international organizations. It is tasked with monitoring the situation of affected families and addressing their needs, in addition to assessing the damage caused to property.
