JENIN, October 26, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces began demolishing agricultural and commercial structures today, Monday, near the Haddad Tourist Village, south of Jenin. The structures include agricultural outbuildings, a car dealership, a park, and greenhouses.
On October 18, the occupation forces had issued more than 20 demolition notices for agricultural and commercial facilities in the Jenin Governorate.
Tareq Ighbariya, the official in charge of the settlements file in the Jenin Governorate, told Wafa that the notices targeted greenhouses, agricultural outbuildings, a park, and a car dealership. The affected area spans from the Al-Badia roundabout near ‘Aba in the east, extending to the Martyr Shamikh Abu al-Rub roundabout near the American School in the south.
He added that these notices threaten the facilities and livelihoods of local residents, exposing them to significant financial losses.
Ighbariya noted that the demolition of greenhouses, agricultural outbuildings, and commercial structures would result in the destruction of agricultural equipment and materials, damage production and the income sources of the affected families, and jeopardize the continuity of agricultural and commercial activities in the area.
