HEBRON, October 26, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained a young man and a woman from the Hebron Governorate on Monday, while continuing their aggression and the military siege imposed on the governorate for the fourth consecutive day. This has resulted in the forced displacement of more than 450 families from their homes.
Security sources told WAFA that occupation forces raided several neighborhoods in the city of Hebron, broke into citizens' homes, searched them, and ransacked their contents. During these operations, they detained Abdullah Munther al-Zaru from the al-Kasara area, south of the city.
Activist Mohammed Awad reported that occupation forces also raided the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron. They broke into the home of a citizen named Mohammed al-Zaaqiq, detained his 27-year-old daughter, Marah, and assaulted her two brothers.
In the towns of Beit Awwa and Deir Samit, west of Hebron, occupation forces raided and searched two homes, destroyed their contents, and stole a sum of money; no arrests were reported in these instances.
The occupation forces continue to tighten their military siege on areas across the Hebron Governorate. This has led to the displacement of approximately 2,649 residents—most notably from the Deir Bahha and al-Jalda areas of Hebron city—in addition to the detention of dozens, the abuse of hundreds, and the destruction of property and belongings in approximately 500 homes that were raided and searched.
