RAMALLAH, October 26, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces raided the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, on Monday, accompanied by Eitan armored vehicles, and deployed along its streets and around its western entrance, local sources said.
The sources reported that Israeli forces initially gathered at the village’s western entrance before the Eitan armored vehicles stormed the area, an incident that was documented in locally circulated video footage.
They added that the deployment of these specific armored vehicles into the village was unprecedented, marking a notable escalation in the recurring military raids targeting al-Mughayyir and neighboring villages northeast of Ramallah.
On Sunday evening, Israeli occupation forces raided the village, broke into and searched several homes, and beat and mistreated residents before detaining two young men whose identities remain unknown, according to Amin Abu Aliya, head of the al-Mughayyir Village Council.
