HEBRON, October 26, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces demolished a home, uprooted more than 200 fruit trees, and destroyed water wells and agricultural facilities east of Hebron on Monday. They also prevented farmers from harvesting olives in southern Hebron.
Resident Samih Da'na told WAFA that Israeli forces raided his land in the village of Birin, east of Hebron, demolished a 100-square-meter home, uprooted more than 200 fruit trees, and destroyed three water wells and other agricultural facilities, including retaining walls and a fence surrounding the eight-dunum plot.
He said the occupation forces had previously notified him of an order to demolish the home and clear the land. He subsequently appealed to an Israeli occupation court and submitted the legal documents in his possession, securing a court order halting the demolition. However, the occupation forces disregarded the court ruling and carried out the demolition and land-clearing operation without prior warning.
Israeli occupation forces raided Khirbet Mughayir al-Abeed in Masafer Yatta and photographed the homes, caves, and agricultural facilities belonging to resident Shihadeh Makhamreh, raising fears of their imminent demolition, just a week after demolition notices were issued for the properties.
In the villages of al-Tuwani and al-Rakeez, Israeli occupation forces prevented farmers from harvesting olives and forced them to leave the area, despite having obtained prior coordination with the forces.
