RAMALLAH, October 26, 2026 (WAFA) – The President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, has congratulated the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, on his re-election as President of Brazil for a fourth term.
In a congratulatory telegram, President Abbas extended his warmest wishes to President Lula da Silva and the Brazilian people, noting that this victory reflects the will of the Brazilian people and their confidence in his policies and his courageous, responsible stances—both domestically and internationally.
The President praised Brazil’s historic support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate national rights, as well as its condemnation of the crimes committed against them. He expressed his pride in Brazil’s solidarity with Palestine and his confidence that these principled, humanitarian, and just positions will continue.
President Abbas wished the Brazilian President good health, happiness, and success in continuing his path of achievement and realizing the aspirations of the friendly Brazilian people.
He also extended his congratulations on the occasion of President Lula da Silva’s birthday, which falls tomorrow, wishing him a long life filled with health and success.
