Israeli forces continue closing roads and entrances in Bethlehem Governorate for fourth consecutive day

BETHLEHEM, October 26, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces continued to close roads and entrances across the Bethlehem Governorate for the fourth consecutive day on Monday, impeding Palestinian residents’ movement between towns, villages, and the city center.

WAFA correspondent reported that the closures include the entrances to Qasr Nassar and al-Sidr, the road connecting the villages of al-Jab'a and Nahalin to the west, the main entrance to the village of Wadi Fukin to the west, the entrances to the villages of Marah Rabah, Umm Salmuna, and Jurat ash-Sham'a to the south, as well as the entrances to the town of Tuqu' in the southeast of the governorate.

The occupation forces also reclosed the southern entrance to the village of al-Manshiya after opening it for several hours.

The closures are forcing residents to take alternative routes, including unpaved and rugged roads, making it more difficult for them to reach their workplaces and meet their daily needs.

On Saturday, Israeli forces placed illegal vehicles at the entrances to dirt roads leading to Tuqu' to block them. They also fired tear gas canisters and sound bombs at residents’ vehicles as they traveled along rugged roads near the town.
