HEBRON, October 26, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday assaulted a Palestinian woman and her son in Khirbet al-Kharaba, east of as-Samu, south of Hebron, leaving them with bruises and contusions, according to local sources.
They said colonists broke into the hamlet with their livestock and let the animals roam in the yards of the community’s dwellings before beating up and pepper-spraying a woman and her son.
They added that the woman was transferred to Yatta Governmental Hospital for treatment, while her son received medical treatment at the scene.
Meanwhile, colonists blocked the road linking the town of as-Samu with Khirbet Um Nizal, southeast of Yatta, south of Hebron.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
