Foreign Ministry warns against Israeli "time management" tactics prolonging war and endangering Palestinian civilians

RAMALLAH, August 27, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warned today of the grave risks posed by Israel's continued use of "time management" tactics aimed at prolonging the war of genocide, starvation, and forced displacement against more than two million Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip.

In a press statement, the Ministry described this Israeli strategy as a political trap designed to erode international consensus and weaken UN demands for an immediate halt to these crimes.

The Ministry stressed the danger of the international community adapting to Israel's shifting deadlines for ending the war, noting that such complacency has catastrophic consequences for Palestinian civilians.

It pointed out to the massacres in northern Gaza and Gaza City caused by ongoing Israeli bombardments and the detonation of robots used to destroy remaining homes in northern Gaza. It also pointed out to the rising number of deaths from famine, malnutrition, and attacks on Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid, emphasizing that "the list of civilians waiting for death grows longer by the hour as the war drags on and the international community fails to stop it."

The Ministry affirmed that it is ramping up its political, diplomatic, and legal efforts so that the international community would bear its legal and moral responsibilities to stop the ongoing Israeli genocide. It underscored that global failure to address the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza is unjustifiable, especially after the release of the UN famine report.

It stressed that Israel's war on the Palestinian people serves no purpose other than targeting civilians, demanding a genuine international awakening and the translation of consensus into concrete measures and sanctions that would enforce the global will for peace on the Israeli government.
