JENIN, July 26, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces demolished a Palestinian home under construction in the village of Jalbun, east of Jenin, on Sunday.
Jalbun village council head Awni Abu al-Rub told WAFA that Israeli forces began demolishing a house belonging to Palestinian citizen Khaled Abu al-Rub in the southwestern part of the village, citing the lack of a building permit as the reason. The house had an area of approximately 150 square meters.
The demolition comes amid continued Israeli restrictions on Palestinian construction in the occupied West Bank. During the first half of 2026, Israeli forces carried out 341 demolitions, resulting in the destruction of 740 structures and affecting 923 Palestinians, including 546 children and 431 women.
During the same period, Israeli authorities also issued demolition notices against 254 structures, citing the lack of Israeli-issued permits.
