TULKARM, July 26, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces detained 16 Palestinians, including a woman and several former prisoners, during raids across the Tulkarm and Jenin governorates in the occupied West Bank on Sunday.

In Tulkarm, local sources told WAFA that Israeli forces detained Batoul Jamal from her home in Kafa village, south of the city, as well as former prisoners Abdel Fattah Azem Al-Qadumi, 57, and Ammar Manna, 63, from Tulkarm city.

The sources added that Israeli forces also detained former prisoners Alaa Shaheen from Irtah suburb, Faisal Mahmoud Khalifa, 44, Hossam Aref, 49, Ali Abu Al-Rub, Adel Qassem, and young man Mohammad Qassem after raiding their homes in Iktaba suburb, east of Tulkarm.

They said forces also raided homes in the town of Bal'a, east of Tulkarm, and detained Saeed Shahrour, Mahdi Adnan Al-Hajj, Ibrahim Adnan Al-Hajj, Mohammad Abu Sitta and his brother Bahaa Abu Sitta.

Israeli forces also raided homes in the towns of Qaffin and Zeita, carrying out extensive searches and interrogating residents.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces detained two Palestinians during a raid on Jenin city. The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said forces detained Ibrahim Al-Jabbar from Al-Hadaf neighborhood and Omar Abu Aqel, the brother of slain Palestinian Raafat Abu Aqel, from Kharouba neighborhood, after raiding and searching their homes.
