MADRID, July 26, 2026 (WAFA) — The Spanish government strongly condemned violence carried out by Israeli colonists in the occupied West Bank, saying the continued attacks against Palestinians are being committed with impunity.

In a statement, the Spanish government said the recent wave of escalating colonist violence included another indiscriminate attack that killed four Palestinian civilians.

Madrid called on the Israeli government to take the necessary measures to de-escalate the situation and ensure those responsible for the attacks are brought to justice. It also urged Israel to halt its settlement expansion policies and end the protection of those carrying out attacks against Palestinian civilians.

The Spanish government stressed that Israel, as the occupying power in the Palestinian territory, is obliged to fulfil its legal responsibilities and take concrete steps to prevent further attacks.

Spain also reaffirmed its commitment to the implementation of a two-state solution, saying it would continue to hold accountable all parties whose actions undermine the prospects and viability of achieving that solution.
