SALFIT, November 1, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces forced several Palestinian farmers to leave their lands on Sunday while they were harvesting olives in Yasuf village, in the central West Bank province of Salfit, while colonists assaulted farmers in the area between Deir Istiya and Qarawat Bani Hassan, northwest of the governorate.
Yasuf village council head Jumaa Abdel Fattah told WAFA that Israeli forces forced farmers off their land near the village and prevented them from continuing the olive harvest.
Meanwhile, a group of colonists attacked several farmers working on their agricultural land between the towns of Deir Istiya and Qarawat Bani Hassan. The colonists seized their agricultural equipment and beat them, leaving them with bruises.
In a related development, Israeli forces closed the entrance to Deir Istiya and the eastern gate of Marda village, obstructing Palestinian traffic.
