Israeli forces set up a checkpoint at sole entrance to villages north of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, November 1, 2026 (WAFA) — On Sunday, Israeli occupation forces established a military checkpoint at the western entrance to the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah. Meanwhile, other occupation units raided the town of Turmus Ayya, located in the northern part of the governorate, where they deployed and maneuvered through several neighborhoods.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at the western entrance to Al-Mughayyir—the village’s only access point—restricting the movement of residents and vehicles and hindering travel into and out of the village.

In the town of Turmus Ayya, occupation forces set up a checkpoint for vehicles leaving the town this morning, before traffic flow eventually returned to normal in both directions. Later, around 10:00 a.m., forces raided the town, positioning themselves at the "Martyrs' Roundabout" (Dawwar al-Shuhada) and near the Turmus Ayya Boys' School.

The sources added that the occupation forces subsequently moved toward the western neighborhood. By this afternoon, a unit of the occupation police was also observed in the Salun neighborhood before heading toward the town center.

As of the time of this report, there have been no accounts of injuries or detentions resulting from the incursion.
