JERUSALEM, July 26, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces detained 12 Palestinians, including 11 workers, on Sunday near the Mazmuria and Jaba' military checkpoints north and southeast of occupied Jerusalem.
Local sources told WAFA that Israeli troops detained 11 workers near the Mazmuria checkpoint, southeast of occupied Jerusalem, as they were trying to enter the city. The workers were detained for lacking Israeli-issued entry permits and were taken to an undisclosed location.
In a related incident, occupation forces detained a young man at the Jaba' military checkpoint, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The soldiers, according to local sources, stopped the young man while passing through the checkpoint before detaining him and transferring him to an unknown location. His identity and the reasons for his detention were unknown.
