Israeli Troops Injure Palestinian, Detain Three in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, May 1, 2016 (WAFA) – At least one Palestinian was shot and injured and three others detained by Israeli troops, who broke into al-Izza refugee camp, north of Bethlehem, last night, according to local sources.

The sources told WAFA that a 22-year-old was shot with a live bullet in his thigh bone during the Israeli crackdown on the camp. He was transferred to nearby Beit Jala public hospital for medical treatment, where his case was described as moderate.

Meanwhile, the army detained three Palestinians after raiding their homes in the camp and in the nearby village of Beit Fajjar. They were identified as Mohammad Barbari, 28, Ameen Thawabteh, 17, and Mousa Deriya, 26.
