NEW YORK, September 27, 2026 (WAFA) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the time has come to ensure the establishment of a Palestinian state based on established international frameworks and relevant United Nations resolutions.

Addressing the United Nations General Assembly on Saturday evening, September 26, Lavrov warned of the rapidly deteriorating situation in the occupied West Bank due to Israel's intensification of settlement activities.

Lavrov also criticized the stalled implementation of the peace plan for the Gaza Strip endorsed by the UN Security Council. 

The Russian foreign minister expressed his country's readiness to engage constructively with various international parties to contribute to stability and calm in the Middle East.
