Israeli forces close several entrances to Bethlehem governorate

BETHLEHEM, May 31, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Sunday evening closed several entrances to the Bethlehem governorate and intensified military restrictions across the area, according to security sources.

Sources told WAFA that the occupation forces closed all entrances to the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, including its eastern entrance, following an alleged vehicle-ramming attack at the Gush Etzion junction south of Bethlehem.

Israeli forces also closed the Tuqu' roundabout at the town’s western entrance, southeast of Bethlehem, as well as the Al-Manshiya entrance to the south using an iron gate. They also blocked access to the western rural area of the governorate.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces raided the town of Tuqu' and deployed near the municipal building at its western entrance; however, no home raids or detentions were reported.
