JERUSALEM, May 31, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities on Sunday forced a Jerusalem resident to demolish his own home in the town of Beit Safafa, southeast of occupied Jerusalem.
In a brief statement, the Jerusalem Governorate said that Israeli authorities compelled a Jerusalemite resident to self-demolish his home in Beit Safafa.
Earlier on Sunday, Israeli forces demolished commercial facilities near Shuafat refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, including a vehicle parking area and a car showroom in the vicinity of the Shuafat camp roundabout.

Palestinians in East Jerusalem find themselves compelled to tear down their homes after receiving a demolition order to avoid paying exorbitant costs to the Israeli municipality if it carries out the demolition.
