Israeli army forces Palestinian olive pickers to leave lands near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, October, 26, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces forced olive pickers to leave their lands in the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, on Saturday.

The deputy head of the Al-Mughayyir village council, Marzouq Abu Naim, confirmed that the occupation forces used force to force farmers to leave their fields, and fired tear gas canisters at them.

The occupation forces have been preventing the owners of the targeted lands from entering them since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip last October. Over the past months, the village has been subjected to several attacks by occupation soldiers and colonists, the most dangerous of which was about three months ago, when they burned several homes and vehicles.

The Palestinian lands are subjected to repeated attacks by colonists and the occupation army during the annual olive harvest season, and farmers constantly face obstacles and arbitrary practices that prevent them from reaching their lands, which leads to severe material losses and increases their daily suffering under the occupation.
