Child killed, two others injured by Israeli gunfire near Turmus Ayya

RAMALLAH, April 6, 2025 (WAFA) – A 14-year-old Palestinian child was killed and two others were injured by Israeli occupation gunfire on Sunday evening near the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah.

The Ministry of Health reported that it was informed by the Palestinian Civil Affairs Authority that Omar Mohammad Rabea, 14, was killed as a result of Israeli gunfire on the outskirts of Turmus Ayya.

Earlier reports indicated that Israelis opened live fire on three children who were standing near the road bordering the town, wounding them. One of the children, Omar Rabea, was detained before his killing was confirmed. The other two children were transported to a medical center in the nearby village of Abu Falah for treatment.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society issued a brief statement confirming that the two injured children, aged 14 and 15, were transferred to a hospital. One of them sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen, while the other was shot in the thigh.

Local sources also reported that Israeli forces obstructed the movement of ambulances leaving Turmus Ayya, deliberately blocking their way.
