UPDATE: Palestinian man and wife injured in colonists’ attack south of Hebron

HEBRON, October 6, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian man and his wife were injured this evening after being attacked by Israeli colonists in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, local sources reported.

Sources said that colonists surrounded the home of local Palestinian resident Yousif Shanaran in the Wadi al-Rakhim area, south of Yatta, and physically assaulted him and his wife, leaving them with various injuries and bruises.

Earlier in the evening, colonists targeted the Shanaran home with stones, causing material damage.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
