TULKARM, October 6, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed the suburbs of Thanaba and Iktaba, as well as the Al-Mahjar neighborhood in the Nur Shams refugee camp east of Tulkarm, at dawn on Tuesday. They raided and searched several homes and residential buildings, detaining their occupants.
Local sources told WAFA that occupation forces detained Shaker Mahajna, along with his wife and son, after raiding their home in the Iktaba suburb. The forces took them away before eventually leaving them—handcuffed—near Al-Murabitin Mosque in the western neighborhood of Tulkarm.
The sources added that occupation forces assaulted Yahya Hamarsha, a released prisoner, after raiding his home in the Al-Mahjar neighborhood and ransacking its contents.
Late last night, occupation forces had also stormed Tulkarm city center and the southern neighborhood, obstructing the movement of citizens and vehicles amidst the firing of live ammunition, sound grenades, and toxic tear gas. They arrested several young men and took them to military barracks inside the Tulkarm refugee camp before later releasing them.
