JERICHO, October 27, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists established a new colonial outpost on Palestinian-owned land in the village of al-Jiftlik, north of Jericho, according to a local official.
Firas Jahalin, head of the al-Jiftlik local council, told WAFA that colonists brought vehicles and construction equipment into the area, erecting metal arches and tarpaulins in preparation for establishing a new colonial outpost.
This marks the second colonial outpost established today, Tuesday, following an earlier incident where colonists set up an outpost on a hill opposite the al-Balou’ neighborhood, north of al-Bireh.
Local sources told WAFA that colonists placed two mobile homes near the northern entrance to al-Bireh, along the road leading to the village of Beitin.
