RAMALLAH, October 27, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters toward Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron on Tuesday evening, causing gas to seep into patient wards and rooms and triggering suffocation and panic, as the Israeli military continued its operation and tightened restrictions across the city for the fifth consecutive day.
Israeli forces fired heavy volleys of tear gas in the vicinity of the hospital while searching vehicles and checking residents’ identification documents nearby. They also seized vehicles bearing yellow license plates from the hospital grounds.
Sources added that Israeli forces later fired tear gas canisters around Abu al-Dab‘at Mosque. Reports also emerged that a driver had been shot by Israeli forces in the Seddat al-Fahs area, prompting the dispatch of an Israeli ambulance to transport him. No further information was available about his condition.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces closed the Halhul Bridge again, disrupting vehicle traffic, and shut the Farsh al-Hawa road in Hebron, as military restrictions tightened at the entrances to the city and surrounding towns.
A public, official and press gathering was held in the al-Jalda roundabout area to condemn Israeli measures and the forced displacement of residents from the area, amid escalating military restrictions affecting residents’ movement and travel.
These developments come as Israeli military measures continue across the Hebron governorate, further restricting the movement of residents and vehicles and obstructing access to vital facilities, including healthcare institutions.
