Colonists steal olive crops and break 40 olive trees southeast of Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, October 6, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists on Tuesday stole olive crops and broke 40 olive trees on lands belonging to the village of Abu Anjim, southeast of Bethlehem, a local source told WAFA correspondent.

The source said that colonists attacked the land of Palestinian resident Amer Aziz Al-Harimi, stole the olive fruits, and broke 40 olive trees.

Abu Anjim has been subjected to ongoing attacks by colonists, including attacks on residents’ homes and vehicles, opening fire, closing secondary roads, and breaking trees.

The olive harvest season in the occupied West Bank has been repeatedly marked by attacks and restrictions by Israeli colonists, including preventing Palestinian farmers from reaching their lands, uprooting and cutting olive trees, stealing or damaging crops, and assaulting farmers, often under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

These attacks have intensified in recent years, particularly in areas near colonial settlements and outposts, threatening Palestinian farmers’ access to their agricultural land and their livelihoods.
