Weather Forecast: Drop in temperatures and scattered rain today

RAMALLAH, October 6, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts that the weather today, Tuesday, will be cloudy to partly cloudy. There is a chance of scattered rain showers from the early morning hours until noon, particularly in eastern and southern areas.

Temperatures will drop further, falling about two degrees Celsius below the seasonal average. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, moderate in speed but occasionally picking up, and sea waves will be of moderate height.

During the evening and night, the weather will be partly cloudy to clear—relatively cold in mountainous areas and mild elsewhere. Winds will be northwesterly, moderate to occasionally brisk, and sea waves will be of moderate height.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, the weather will be partly cloudy to clear and mild in most areas. Temperatures will rise, returning to around the seasonal average. Winds will be northeasterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, and the sea will have low waves.

On Thursday, the weather will be partly cloudy to clear—mild in mountainous areas and relatively hot elsewhere. Temperatures will rise further, reaching about two degrees Celsius above the seasonal average. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, and sea waves will range from low to moderate height.

On Friday, the weather will be partly cloudy; it will be mild in mountainous areas and relatively hot elsewhere. There will be no significant change in temperatures, which will remain about two degrees Celsius above the seasonal average. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, and sea conditions will range from calm to moderate.

The Meteorological Department warned citizens on Tuesday of the risk of flash floods in certain valleys and low-lying areas—particularly in the south and east—as well as the danger of vehicles skidding on roads in areas experiencing rainfall.
