JERUSALEM, October 6, 2026 (WAFA) – An armed colonist stormed the Bir al-Maskoub Bedouin community, east of occupied Jerusalem, on Tuesday.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the armed colonist provoked the residents and demanded they evacuate the community, claiming ownership of the land; however, the residents confronted him and succeeded in driving him away.
This incident is part of a series of ongoing attacks against the community by occupation forces and colonists—attacks that have also targeted local water sources, which have been subjected to vandalism and sabotage in recent times.
These assaults are part of an escalating campaign against Bedouin communities east of occupied Jerusalem, aimed at displacing residents, seizing their land, and preparing the area for settlement projects.
Last month, colonists carried out 647 attacks. These were concentrated in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate (506 attacks), followed by Nablus (342), Hebron (272), Jenin (202), Bethlehem (187), Tulkarm (152), and Jerusalem (149).
