SALFIT, October 6, 2026 (WAFA) - Israeli colonists on Tuesday evening assaulted several farmers in the Wadi an-Nar area, east of Marda, north of Salfit, according to local sources.
They said that colonists attacked farmers from Marda village and the nearby town of Jamma'in while they were harvesting olives in the area, and stole their harvest.
He added that two of the casualties were transferred to a hospital in Salfit in stable condition.
The attack comes amid escalating colonist assaults against Palestinians and their lands in Salfit Governorate, coinciding with the start of the olive harvest season.
According to the latest reports by the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, colonists have carried out more than 14,742 attacks in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, since October 7, 2023, resulting in the killing of 66 Palestinians.
