CAIRO, November 3, 2026 (WAFA) – Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy discussed regional developments, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, with Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar on Tuesday.
During their meeting at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, Fahmy stressed the need to consolidate the Gaza ceasefire and ensure the sufficient, sustained and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid.
He also emphasized the rejection of any displacement of the Palestinian people from their land and the need to intensify international efforts to end the illegal Israeli occupation, implement the two-state solution, and establish an independent and sovereign Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Fahmy further warned against continued colonization, annexation plans and unilateral Israeli measures that undermine prospects for peace.
