JERUSALEM, November 3, 2026 (WAFA) – Several citizens suffered from suffocation this Tuesday morning after Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas canisters and sound grenades at them, as they attempted to reach their agricultural lands to harvest olives in the town of Beit Anan, northwest of Jerusalem.
Local sources reported that occupation forces fired tear gas and sound grenades at dozens of citizens who were trying to reach their lands in the Al-Salaqat and Al-Buraij areas, on the outskirts of the town, preventing them from harvesting their olives.
The sources added that a number of colonists were also present in the area; they attacked the citizens and prevented them from harvesting olives, all under the protection of the occupation forces.
Israeli assaults against Palestinian farmers continue throughout the olive harvest season, including preventing them from accessing their lands, physically attacking them, damaging trees, and stealing the harvest.
