Occupation forces set up military checkpoint west of Bethlehem, hindering movement of citizens

BETHLEHEM, November 3, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces set up a military checkpoint on Tuesday at the main entrance to the western countryside of Bethlehem Governorate, obstructing the movement of citizens and delaying their arrival at their workplaces and educational institutions.

A local source informed our correspondent that the occupation forces established the checkpoint in the area between Al-Shouli and Aqabat Hasna, on the main road leading to the towns of Nahalin and Battir, and the villages of Husan and Wadi Fukin.

The source added that occupation soldiers stopped citizens' vehicles and inspected their ID cards, which hindered students, employees, and other residents from reaching their destinations on time.

The Al-Shouli and Aqabat Hasna area—a primary gateway to the western countryside of Bethlehem Governorate—is frequently subjected to military measures, including the installation of checkpoints, the searching of vehicles, and the inspection of citizens' identification documents.
