Jordan's King says 'no path to security and stability in the region without fulfilling the Palestinian's right to their land'

AMMAN, November 2, 2026 (WAFA) – King Abdullah II of Jordan affirmed that there is no way to achieve security and stability in the region without fulfilling the Palestinian people’s right to their land. He underscored Jordan’s steadfast position in upholding its Arab identity and defending the causes of the Arab nation.

This came during the Speech from the Throne, delivered on Monday at the opening of the third ordinary session of the 20th Parliament. In his address, King Abdullah II reiterated his commitment to the Arab cause and the defense of the nation’s interests, emphasizing efforts toward achieving a unified Arab voice.

He pointed to the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip and the persistent Israeli assaults in the West Bank—including Jerusalem—despite international calls for an end to these violations. The King stressed that Israel’s expansionist ambitions pose the greatest threat to the future and aspirations of the region.
