SALFIT, November 2, 2026 (WAFA) – On Monday, colonists set fire to agricultural land and a number of olive trees in the "Al-Badoun" area, which belongs to the village of Iskaka, east of Salfit.
This attack coincides with an escalation in colonists' violence across the region. Colonists have blocked several major intersections and roads leading to the city of Salfit and have deployed extensively in the Wadi al-Sha'er area—which connects the city to the town of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya—further restricting the movement of Palestinian residents and hindering farmers' access to their lands.
In the same context, the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reported that Israeli occupation forces and colonists carried out 3,133 attacks against Palestinian residents, their lands, and their property during the month of October. Of these, 1,369 were committed by colonists—an increase of 111.6% compared to September.
The Commission added that the attacks in October resulted in damage to at least 5,890 trees, including 4,498 olive trees, noting that 69 trees were damaged in the Salfit Governorate. Furthermore, between October 1 and October 21, the Commission documented 91 attacks targeting the olive harvest season in the Salfit Governorate, out of a total of 409 such attacks across the West Bank.
