HEBRON, November 3, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained 21 Palestinians from the town of Dura, southwest of Hebron, on Tuesday, following raids on their homes, during which the properties were searched and their contents ransacked. Meanwhile, in the village of Al-Burj, south of the governorate, occupation forces compelled a family to evacuate their home, subsequently converting the residence into a military barracks.
Security and local sources informed WAFA that the occupation forces detained several people from Dura.
The sources added that the occupation forces took the detainees to an unknown location after searching their homes and rummaging through their belongings.
In the village of Al-Burj, south of Hebron, occupation forces forced the family of ‘Abd al-Jalil Khalil al-Talahmeh to evacuate their home, turning it into a military barracks. The house is home to three families, comprising 15 individuals, the majority of whom are children.
The occupation forces have also set up several military checkpoints at the entrances to the city of Hebron, as well as its towns, villages, and refugee camps. Furthermore, they have blocked a number of main and secondary roads using iron gates, concrete blocks, and earthen berms.
The Hebron Governorate frequently experiences incursions by the occupation forces, which involve detention campaigns, raids on homes, and the closure of roads—measures that disrupt the movement of residents and their daily lives. These practices are part of an escalation in Israeli military measures across the cities and towns of the West Bank, imposing significant restrictions on the population, particularly in areas near settlements and bypass roads.
