Trump announces halt to $4 billion in annual U.S. funding to Israel

WASHINGTON, November 3, 2026 (WAFA) – U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he has reached an agreement with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cut off annual U.S. financial support to Israel, valued at approximately $3.8 billion, by the end of this year.

Trump’s remarks came during an interview on Fox News, where he stated that he and Netanyahu had reached an agreement months ago to halt the annual transfers to Israel, which he estimated at around $4 billion.

Trump noted that both sides had agreed on stopping the payments, stating, “We made a deal months ago that we're stopping,” and adding, “We won't be paying anymore.”

He further commented on the decision, noting, “They’re fine with it because, you know, they've become a very successful country. They don't need it.”

He emphasized Washington's readiness to continue backing Israel in times of necessity, stating: “Now we'll help Israel if they need it. You know they've been a great ally.”
