HEBRON, November 3, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces demolished five commercial shops today, Tuesday, on the Hasaka road, which connects the towns of Beit Kahil and Halhul, northwest of Hebron.
A WAFA correspondent reported that the occupation forces, accompanied by heavy machinery, raided the area and demolished the commercial shops, which are owned by a Palestinian citizen named Adnan al-Qawasmeh.
The Hebron Governorate leads all West Bank governorates in terms of demolition and construction-halt notices. The Commission Against the Wall and Settlements has documented 2,697 such notices in the governorate between 2015 and the end of September 2026—out of a total of 9,518 notices recorded across the Palestinian territories during the same period. Furthermore, the governorate received 102 such notices during the first half of this year, the highest figure among all governorates.
Data from the Commission indicates that, during the first half of 2026, the occupation authorities carried out a total of 341 demolition operations across the Palestinian territories. These actions affected 740 structures and caused harm to 923 individuals, including 546 children.
