NABLUS, August 18, 2026 (WAFA) — A Dutch diplomatic delegation will visit the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, today to assess the conditions of families whose homes have been besieged by settlers, the town’s mayor said.
Speaking to WAFA, the mayor said settlers and Israeli occupation soldiers have been besieging three homes in the Ras al-Ain area for the 10th consecutive day, amid water shortages and restrictions preventing residents from entering or leaving their homes after the area was declared a closed military zone.
He added that the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development will also visit the town to assess firsthand the conditions of the besieged families, follow up on developments on the ground, and work to strengthen residents’ steadfastness.
