Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa today affirmed that strengthening the resilience of Palestinians in Qusra and other areas targeted by colonial expansion in Nablus Governorate is a government priority, stressing continued support for residents facing colonists’ attacks and efforts to protect their lands.
During a meeting at the PM’s office in Ramallah with Nablus Mayor Anan Al-Atira and members of the municipal council, Mustafa discussed the growing risks posed by colonial settlement activity and colonists’ attacks, particularly in the Jabal (Mount) Ebal area, and their threats to Palestinian lands and residents.
The Prime Minister emphasized that bolstering citizens' resilience is a top priority for the government, stressing the need to support local residents, enable them to remain on and protect their land, and provide them with essential living requirements.
Furthermore, he called for directing all government efforts toward consolidating the Palestinian presence in these areas to protect them from the dangers of settlement expansion.
Mustafa also commended the steadfastness of residents of Qusra and Palestinians confronting colonists’ attacks and attempts at colonization and displacement, reaffirming the government’s commitment to providing all forms of support to strengthen their resilience and assist local authorities in protecting residents and meeting their needs.
The meeting also addressed infrastructure, roads, water and health services, as well as priority development projects and challenges facing Nablus Municipality.
