RAMALLAH, August 17, 2026 (WAFA) — The Palestinian Meteorological Department said today that the weather will be partly cloudy and seasonably warm, with temperatures dropping slightly to become a little below their annual average.
Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, moderate to brisk, while sea waves will be moderate.
Tonight, the weather will be pleasant in mountainous areas and warm elsewhere. Winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally becoming brisk, while sea waves will remain moderate.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, the weather will be partly cloudy and seasonably warm, with a slight rise in temperatures to around their annual average. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally becoming brisk, and sea waves will be light to moderate.
On Wednesday, the weather will be hot in mountainous areas and very hot elsewhere, with temperatures rising slightly to around 2°C above their annual average. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally becoming brisk, while sea waves will be light to moderate.
On Thursday, temperatures will rise further, reaching around 4°C above their annual average. The weather will be hot in mountainous areas and very hot elsewhere. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, and sea waves will be light to moderate.
The Meteorological Department warned residents of Jericho and the Jordan Valley against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly during peak hours between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. It also warned against lighting fires in areas with dry vegetation and leaving children or elderly people inside closed vehicles, and advised people to drink plenty of water and fluids.
