JERUSALEM, August 17, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces this morning demolished a two-story home in Qalandia village, northwest of occupied Jerusalem.
Activist Mahmoud Awadallah reported that Israeli forces raided the al-Bariyat area of the village and surrounded the two-story home belonging to resident Dheeb Hamad. Each floor covered an area of 250 square meters. Israeli forces then demolished the house, citing construction without a permit.
He added that the home housed two families comprising 15 people.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli authorities carried out 80 demolition operations in July, targeting 165 structures, including 80 inhabited homes, eight uninhabited homes, and 63 agricultural structures. During the same period, Israeli authorities issued demolition notices for 34 Palestinian structures.
