RAMALLAH, August 17, 2026 (WAFA) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the attack targeting the office of Iraq's Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister, Masrour Barzani, describing it as a violation of the sovereignty of the brotherly Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and a breach of international law.
The Ministry affirmed the State of Palestine’s full solidarity with the Republic of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government in confronting any attempts to undermine their security, stability, and prosperity.
It also reaffirmed Palestine’s support for all efforts aimed at preventing further escalation and tension in the region, while preserving Iraq’s security, stability, and territorial integrity.
