Israeli forces detain 20 Palestinians from the West Bank

RAMALLAH, May 21, 2025 (WAFA) – From yesterday evening until Wednesday morning, the Israeli occupation forces detained at least 20 citizens from the West Bank, including three women, in addition to released prisoners.

The Palestinian Detainees' Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society said in a joint statement that the occupation forces are continuing detaining Palestinians and conducting field investigations in the West Bank at an escalating pace.

This comes in light of the occupation's aggression against Palestine people, which is accompanied by attacks and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to the vandalism and destruction of citizens' homes, and the confiscation of money and cars.

Furthermore, the occupation continues its siege of the towns of Burqin and Kafr ad-Dik for the eighth consecutive day. There are no clear data on the detentions and field investigations, as a result of the ongoing aggression in the two towns, accompanied by field executions and the conversion of homes into military barracks.

It's worth noting that the occupation continues its aggression against the cities of Jenin and Tulkarm, carrying out ongoing arrests and field investigations for months. Approximately 1,000 detentions have been made in the two cities, including those who were arrested and subsequently released.

It's worth noting that these detentions come amid the comprehensive aggression the occupation has been waging against our people since the beginning of the war of extermination.

During this time, the occupation has detained approximately 17,000 citizens from the West Bank, in addition to dozens of Palestinian workers and thousands from Gaza.
