RAMALLAH, Tuesday, October 3, 2023 (WAFA) - The Palestinian administrative detainees held in Israeli jails without charge or trial today decided to go on a hunger strike tomorrow for one day in solidarity with fellow detainee Kayed al-Fasfous, who has been on hunger strike for the 62nd day in protest against his administrative detention and who is suffering serious health condition in Ramla prison clinic, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
In said that the National Committee for the Prisoners’ Movement said in a statement that “after our bitter experience in the case of the assassination of Khader Adnan, and his cowardly execution, the entire Prisoners’ Movement and in all prisons will not stand idly by and will not allow the repetition of what happened with the martyr Khader Adnan in any way.”
The committee also warned against attempts by the occupation authority and its intelligence to endanger the life of al-Fasfous, and held Israel fully responsible for his life. It also stressed that the solidarity steps will continue until his demand is met in light of the intransigence of the Israeli occupation courts and its intelligence in responding to his demand.
The PPS said the number of Palestinian administrative detainees held in Israel for their political activities or views reached more than 1,300 by the end of September, including more than 20 minors and four women.
