RAMALLAH, August 31, 2026 (WAFA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian Shahin today bid farewell to Nida Dalmantaitė, Head of the Representative Office of the Republic of Lithuania to Palestine, to mark the conclusion of her official tenure.

Shahin praised Dalmantaitė’s efforts to strengthen bilateral ties between Palestine and Lithuania, highlighting her role in supporting and implementing key projects, particularly in education, student exchanges, and technology.

The Minister also commended Lithuania’s support for Palestinian rights and its solidarity in international forums, emphasizing the importance of translating this stance into formal recognition of the State of Palestine.

For her part, Dalmantaitė expressed appreciation for her tenure in Palestine, noting that it provided her with firsthand insight into Palestinian reality and enabled her to advance relations between the two nations.

She affirmed that Lithuania will continue cooperating with Palestine across various sectors and stressed the importance of maintaining official bilateral visits.
