HEBRON, October 30, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces assaulted dozens of Palestinians and detained several others, while Israeli colonists attacked olive pickers in Tel Rumeida, as the ongoing assault on the city of Hebron entered its eighth consecutive day.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces detained a young man along with others in the besieged areas of al-Jalda and Deir Bahha, preventing residents from returning to their homes, from which they had been forcibly displaced.
Israeli forces continue to impose a tight siege on closed-off neighborhoods in Hebron, raiding homes whose residents have been forcibly displaced. Troops also fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades at Palestinians attempting to reach and check on their homes, causing several to suffer from tear gas inhalation. The forces also detained seven Palestinians, handcuffed them and subjected them to abuse.
Occupation forces further detained Omar Shawer in the Dakhlet Wadi al-Karm area of the city, set up a stone barricade at the entrance to the Wadi Abu Qteileh area, and deployed across junctions and roads leading to al-Jalda, preventing Palestinians from approaching the area.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces turned a residential building into a military outposts, hoisted Israeli flags over it and stationed snipers on its roof. They also deployed patrols in al-Jalda and Deir Bahha and threatened residents over loudspeakers with gunfire and arrest if they attempted to enter either area.
The Civil Defense urged residents to follow public safety instructions in areas declared military zones by Israeli forces, warning of the danger posed by unexploded ordnance, explosives and hazardous materials left behind in neighborhoods and homes following military incursions.
Separately, five Palestinians suffered bruises and fainting after Israeli colonists attacked them while they were harvesting olives in Tel Rumeida, an area sealed off by Israeli forces, which have barred residents from harvesting their olives and working their land.
Resident Ragheb Abu Aisha said a group of colonists assaulted his family and sprayed them with pepper spray, leaving five of them with bruises and causing them to faint. They received medical treatment at the scene.
