HEBRON, October 30, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Friday detonated the homes of two slain Palestinians in the besieged Deir Bahha neighborhood of Hebron city, according to local sources.
They said that in the early morning hours, the occupation forces showed up at the homes of Hamoudeh and Ahmad al-Ka'abnah, located just tens of meters apart, and rigged them with explosives before detonating them remotely and simultaneously.
The two al-Ka'abnah members were killed on October 23, after Israeli occupation soldiers stationed at the Farsh al-Hawa military checkpoint at the northern entrance to Hebron opened live fire at them.
The detonations come amid an ongoing Israeli military offensive in the Hebron governorate, now in its eighth consecutive day. Israeli occupation forces continue to besiege and close the al-Jaladah and Deir Bahha neighborhoods of Hebron city, while conducting home-to-home raids and vandalizing their contents.
The number of families affected by the offensive has risen to more than 780, including 537 families who have been completely forcibly displaced. Around 5,000 Palestinians are facing siege and forced displacement, either after being compelled to leave their homes or while being confined inside them.
Since the beginning of the offensive, the occupation forces have detained over 115 Palestinians, including a girl, while holding hundreds of others and subjecting them to abuse.
The offensive and military siege imposed on areas of Hebron city and its surroundings have also disrupted in-person classes at 66 schools, affecting 2,872 students. Of these, 2,198 are under direct siege, while 674 have been forcibly displaced and are unable to reach their classrooms.
The closures have also inflicted substantial economic losses. The Hebron Chamber of Commerce estimates direct daily losses in the city at between 10 million and 12 million shekels, including approximately one million shekels in the dairy sector alone.
