RAMALLAH, August 31, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces this morning began large-scale demolition operations in the al-Saqi area of Birzeit, north of Ramallah.

Eyewitnesses said that occupation forces raided the area beneath the Atara Bridge and began demolishing a number of Palestinian-owned homes.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission had reported that Israeli occupation authorities carried out 70 demolition operations in July, targeting 155 Palestinian structures, including 39 inhabited homes and 99 agricultural structures.

The demolitions were concentrated in the Qalqiliya and Jerusalem governorates. The authorities also issued 51 demolition notices, mainly in the Bethlehem and Hebron governorates.
