Colonists level land and pitch tents in preparation for establishing outpost south of Hebron

HEBRON, October 25, 2026 (WAFA) — On Sunday, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, colonists continued to level Palestinian-owned land in the areas of Khallat al-Farra and Marah al-Rabiyya, south of Hebron. They also pitched tents at the site, in preparation for the establishment of a colonial outpost and agricultural farms.

Local sources reported that colonists and occupation forces, utilizing bulldozers, continued for the second consecutive day to level land belonging to Palestinian residents in these two areas—which lie adjacent to the "Otniel" settlement—as part of colonial plans aimed at seizing further territory.

The sources added that the area is undergoing a process of "Judaization" with the backing of the occupation government. According to announcements by the occupation authorities, the government intends to establish a project that includes a farm named "Laman Akhai" (To My Brother) between the Otniel settlement and the towns of as-Samu’ and Yatta.

Furthermore, the sources noted that the occupation forces and the colonists—who have set up tents in the area—have prevented the Palestinian landowners from accessing their property, instructing them instead to file formal objections to the occupation government’s decision through the Israeli court system.

These developments have raised concerns regarding the expansion of colonial activity in the vicinity of Khallat al-Farra and Marah al-Rabiyya. There is growing apprehension that these actions threaten agricultural land and the livelihoods of the local residents, and that they may be used as a form of pressure to coerce the Palestinians into leaving their land.
